SimWorks releases SimWorks Finite Difference Solutions version 3.2.0

Thank you all for your attention and support to the SimWorks software. To further optimize the user experience and enhance the simulation quality, this software has been updated to version 3.2.0. The key update contents this time are:

New Built-in Script Commands for Topology Optimization: topoparamstominfeaturesizeindicator and topoparamstominfeaturegradient #

In topology optimization, a differentiable constraint function is required to continuously control the feature size of structures to avoid exceeding the limits of actual manufacturing processes. The two newly added script commands calculate the minimum feature size constraint indicator and its gradient, respectively, collectively providing an automated mechanism for manufacturability constraints, helping to develop high-performance photonic devices that meet process requirements.

Mesh #

For the Mesh component of FDE and EME solvers, add the mesh multiplier feature under the Customized mesh type option, allowing control over the generated mesh density within the corresponding region by setting a mesh multiplier.
